Zomer bargello

Kreeg dit weekend de volgende opdracht voor  het maken van een Bargello,met zomerkleuren.

Ben aan het grasduinen in mijn voorraad stofjes, en laat binnenkort de definitieve keuze zien.

The next lesson of the Bargello class is to make a bargello in summer colors, I am digging in my stash to search for the right colors, will show you later the final choice.

Ook de upgrade van het tekenprogramme EQ7 is binnen en onderstussen geiinstalleerd op de computer, dus kan daar ook binnenkort weer mee aan de slag.

Received also the upgrade  to version EQ7, directly installed on my computer.so everything is working fine, ready for designing.

So I am very busy at the moment with all kinds of things. The roosters have to wait.

Bargello

Bargello Spring

Zo dit is de eerste bargello die ik ooit gemaakt heb, als je goed kijkt zie je er een golf beweging inzitten. De 2e in rij wordt een bargello met zomertinten, dus maar even in de voorraad neuzen of er iets te vinden is.


This is my first bargello, called spring. was nice to do, as you can see there is a litte wave movement into the quilt.
I am anxious for the next one, which will be made from summer colors. Going to dig in my stash to find something appropriate.

Brown Rooster

Haan nummer 4 is ook geappliqueerd,ziet er nog een beetje gekreukt uit, maar zodra de veren gestreken zijn ziet ook deze haan er weer perfekt uit.

Rooster no. 4 is also ready a bit wrinkled but after ironing he will be perfect.

 Busy with no 5, almost ready


Haan nummer 5 is op de helft, en schiet ook aardig op.


Ben op dit moment bezig om van computer te veranderen, kost een hoop extra tijd en denkwerk, het is weer even wennen eerst werkend met een Apple computer en nu weer terug naar windows, maar het gaat steeds beter, dit is mijn eerste berichtje op de windows desktop.


At this moment I am busy to change from computer, worked with an Apple and now back to a windows desktop. This is the first message in windows again.
            

                                                                    Ben weer terug naar de "quiltschool" , het eerste projekt van dit jaar wordt  een Bargello maken. De cursus bestaat uit 4 verschillende ontwerpen, en dit is de eerste, gebaseerd op seizoenen, deze wordt de lente. Je moet wel alle strips goed achterelkaar aan bewaren anders raak je hopeloos in de war.Dus ga zodadelijk  proberen alle stroken aanelkaar te zetten.

I am back to the "quilt-school"  , the first project of this year is how to create a bargello quilt.

We will make 4 quilts and this is the first design, called spring. You have to look carefully to the strips  so the are in the right posistion, for this quilt need 21 bargello strips. Will  show the results .

Tusendoortje

Wegens succes geprolongeerd zouje bijna denken. Nog een stofjeskrans gemaakt op verzoek van mijn schoonzusje en er een windlicht ingezet, is best wel leuk uitgevallen.

Verder ben ik weer naar "school" ben bezig om mijn eerste bargello werkstuk te maken  met de titel voorjaar. Zal er binnenkort wat van laten zien.

Upon request of my s.i.l., made a wreath of little fabric pillows, and placed  a candle in to it.
It is always nice to see the different colors of all the wreaths I have made. 


At this moment I am busy with my first bargello project,called spring, will show it soon.

Little Red Rooster

Ben bezig met de hanen,naar het ontwerp van Dawn Heese, patroon is geschikt voor een layer cake. Vind het ontwerp onweerstaanbaar,dus ben er direkt aan begonnen, de hanen zien er een beetje verkreukeld uit, maar na het strijken komt dat allemaal weer goed. Eerst teken ik de haan af op stof , knip het uit en zet het even vast met een klein drupje Roxanne basting glue, werkt perfekt en kan je er weer gewoon uitwassen. Als appliqueer draad gebruik ik  Aurifill 50, werkt voor mij het prettigst.,Hier volgen nog een aantal hanen.

I am busy with the design of Dawn Heese,called Creve Coeur, it will be made of one layer cake.Was really enthousiastic about the design,so started right away. First I draw the rooster on the fabric, cut is out en glue it with tiny drops of Roxanne's basting glue, works perfekt and can rinse it out by water. As thread  use Aurifill 50

asfter this three still 13 to go, with lots of fun.

Nieuw projekt 2011

Heb het op dit moment nogal druk met andere bezigheden, het begin van het nieuwe jaar betekent ook weer extra administratief werk. Maar ik heb alvast een bezigheid voor dit jaar, ben altijd een beetje bang dat ik niets te doen heb (grapje). Het is een quilt met allemaal geappliceerde hanen, en wordt gemaakt van een layer cake. De keuze is gevallen op  de stoffen van Maison Garance, van French General/Moda. Zal jullie op de hoogte houden van de vorderingen.


At the moment I am a bit busy with other things besides quilting, Just received by the mail a new project for this year. It is a pattern with  appliqued roosters  and will be made with a layer cake of French General called Maison Garance.Keep you informed about my progress.

Bunny Hill

Gisteren  kreeg ik een melding van Bunny Hill, dat Anne Sutton weer start met een nieuwe bom,
het wordt een najaarsquilt, bestaat uit 10 blokken die iedere 5e van de maand gepubliceerd wordt
er wordt o.a. gewerkt met vilt. Misschien een idee, als je echt niets meer te doen hebt (lol).


Yesterday got a mail from Bunny Hill, they start with a new bom, consists of 10 blocks, each block will be published on the 5th of each month. Perhaps  something nice to do,if you do not have any other projects?

Patroon van blokje 7 is  vandaag gearriveerd, het is een bijenkorf met als knoopje een  kleine bij.


Block no 7 has been arrived today, it is a little
beehive with a little bee-button.

en antwoordend op de vraag van Birgitte,
ik gebruik dmc zijde, niet uit de doos van Pandora,maar uit mijn voorraaddoos, er is van alles in te vinden, en ook de wat zachtere kleuren voor deze bom.

De feestdrukte is weer voorbij en kan ik een kleine update geven van mijn blokken van de bom My Garden van Lynette Anderson, het gaat om de blokken  4 - 5 - 6- hierna nog 3 blokken te ontvangen en te maken.

This is an update of  My Garden Bom, these are blocks 4,5, and 6. still 3 block to receive.


 The design is of Lynette Anderson, all with a qute little button.

Ben weer benieuwd hoe alle blokken straks aan elkaar gezet gaan worden.
